What is Climate Card?

The Climate Card is a comprehensive transportation card providing unlimited use of public transportation (e.g., subway, bus) and Ttareungi(Seoul Bike) for a period of 30 days after charging with a one-time fare.

Climate Card Service Range

• Includes: Seoul-based subway lines + Gimpo Goldline, Seoul-licensed transit/town buses, Ttareungi
• Excludes: Sinbundang Line, subway lines outside Seoul, intercity/airport buses, non-Seoul-licensed buses

* For buses, the Climate Card can be used to ride Seoul-licensed buses even if boarding or disembarking outside Seoul.

* For the subway, the Climate Card cannot be used when disembarking outside the service range even if boarding in the service range.

For example, the Climate Card cannot be used to board at Jongno 3(sam)-ga Station (in Seoul) and disembark at Indeogwon Station (in Gyeonggi-do); station attendants will collect the fare from the boarding station to the disembarking station.

* Exceptionally, the Climate Card can be used when disembarking at a station on Line 5 (between Misa Station and Hanam Geomdansan Station), and Line 7 (between Seongnam Station and Kkachiul Station) after boarding in the service range (however, you cannot board at these stations).

Purchase and charging

• * Users may designate the start date within five days of charging (excluding short-term passes).
• * Physical card purchase locations: Seoul Metro Information Center (Lines 1 to 8); available in stations between Seoul Station and Cheongnyangni Station (Line 1); available at convenience stores near subway stations (Line 9, Ui-Sinseol Line, and Sillim Line)
